Our brother Cassian Holbay, canon of Magnovarad Abbey in northwestern Romania (once part of Hungary, prior to the First World War), came to America after World War II.  Cassian endeared himself to the confreres, both East and West, by his quiet, gentle manner.  He worked in our apostolates and taught Latin to the novices.  

In his last years, his infirmity, which he carried without complaining, caused him to be placed in Santa Maria Nursing Home in Green Bay where he died on Friday, January 29, 1982 at the age of 88.
