DE PERE, WISCONSIN, U.S.A.
Rev. Ronald T. Kirk, O. Praem.
b. Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1915 – d. Monday, May 25, 1987

Our brother Ronald Kirk was born in Ortonville, Minnesota in 1915.  After a year at the college, he joined the Order in 1934, and was solemnly professed in 1939.

Ronnie was assigned to Southeast Catholic in 1937, where he taught history and social studies for a year before ordination, when he returned to DePere.  In 1941, he joined the faculty at Central Catholic until 1948, when he returned to Southeast.  He was prefect at St. Norbert High in 1952, and back at Southeast in ’53, where he was also superior of the priory until 1957, when he moved with the faculty to Bishop Neumann until 1962.

During the mid ‘60’s, Ronnie was an assistant at St. Willy’s in Green Bay and then pastor of St. Joseph in Alverno. In 1971, he helped at St. Mary’s in Chester , Montana , and St. John’s in Essexville, before co-pastoring at St. Boniface in DePere, until 1976.

In ill health, Ronnie retired to the abbey in 1977, and by 1983, was at the Borneman Nursing Home where he died on Monday, May 25, 1987 at the age of 72

If you have a photograph of this Norbertine, we would love to hear from you.
