b. Saturday, Oct. 9, 1915 – d. Monday, Nov. 29, 1954

Our brother Charles Rentmeester was born in Preble in 1915.  After his freshman year at the college, he joined the Order in 1936 and was solemnly professed in 1941. 

In 1940, Charlie joined the faculty at Southeast Catholic, where he taught math.  He was transferred to Central Catholic in 1946, where he became registrar in 1947. 

After accumulating credits at Marquette during summer sessions, he earned his Master’s in Education in 1951.  He was appointed to the college faculty in 1953. 

Charles died in his sleep, in the old St. Joe’s rectory on Monday, November 29, 1954.  He was 39.
