Our brother Edward Sdano was born in
Milwaukee
in 1941. He joined the Order in 1960 and was solemnly professed in
1965.
Ed
was assistant chaplain at the
U.W.G.B
Ecumenical
Center
from 1969 until 1971, when he became a member of the formation team of the
abbey until 1974. From 1973 until 1984, he was a counselor at
Premontre, and spent those summers as the Director of Camp Tivoli. Following
a renewal program in 1982, at Sangre de Cristo in
Santa Fe
, he was assistant pastor in Mora,
New Mexico
, and the next year as associate pastor at
St. Joseph
in
Madison
.
As
a member of the pioneer group that founded Santa Maria de la Vid Priory in
Albuquerque
, he became the first Norbertine pastor of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish in
1985. During this time he was instrumental in organizing the annual
vocation pilgrimage in the archdiocese. Ed died suddenly of a
heart attack on June 9, 1986 at the age of 45.
