Brother Gilbert A. Timmermans, O. Praem.

b. Sunday, May 24, 1863 – d. Thursday, Apr. 10, 1947

Our brother Gilbert Timmermans was born in Oesterhout, Holland in 1863, and was vested at Berne Abbey in 1889.  He immigrated to the United States in 1898, and was assigned to Dykesville, as a simply professed lay brother. 

In July of that year, he accompanied Bernard Pennings to the new foundation in DePere, where he spent his entire life until his death on Thursday, April 10^th, 1947 at the age of 83.
