Brother Clement Gerard Tourangeau, O. Praem., age 89, a member of the Norbertine Community of St. Norbert Abbey, De Pere , WI , passed into God’s eternal kingdom on Saturday, May 3, 2008.

Brother Clem was born on February 17, 1919, in Flat Rock, MI to Arthur and Valentine (Charboneau) Tourangeau.  His home parish was Holy Family, Flat Rock, MI.

On August 28, 1937, Brother Clem entered St. Norbert Abbey where he was vested as a novice.  He professed Simple Vows on August 28, 1939, and Solemn Vows on August 28, 1942. 

Brother Clem had a great love for cooking and used his culinary talents serving his fellow Norbertines as a cook at the Novitiate House in Madison, Wisconsin; Our Lady of Daylesford Priory in Paoli, Pennsylvania; Holy Spirit Priory in Chicago, Illinois; and St. Michael Priory in Green Bay Wisconsin.  Brother also prepared meals for Norbertines attending summer school at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

In 1995 he entered retirement status and moved his residence to St. Norbert Abbey.

Brother Tourangeau is survived by the Norbertine Community, three brothers, Eugene, Arthur and Roger and one sister, Martha.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Bernadette Reuter and Cecile Fries and three brothers, Leo, Rene, and Ernest.
