History:

The Priory was founded, as a dependency of Tongerlo Abbey, on August 10, 1949 in the town of St. Bernard de Lacolle, Quebec. It was moved to Saint-Constant August 15, 1968. St. Joseph was elevated to the status of a self-governing Priory on June 12, 1975.
