Approximate modern location: The village of Marienthal lies about eight km east of Rockenhausen, by mount Donnersberg, Rheinland-Pfalz.

Other Comments:    Parthenon (linked to Munsterdreisen).  Damaged heavily in 1525, suppressed 1553.  Church burned in 1843 but the original window tracery along with capitals and other stonework can be found in the present-day protestant parish church.
