Monasticon Praemonstratense (III, 301)

Approximate modern location: A famous abbey, comprised of two locations:

1.  Santa Cruz de Monzon [saec. 12 - 17]:  Near the city of Monzon in the Province of Palencia, next to the Carrion river.

2.  Valladolid, S. Norberto [saec. 17 - saec. 19]:  In the city of the same name, Spain.

Elm-Number [See below]: 239b*

Other Comments: 1. S. Cruz was moved to Vallalodid (despite many hesitancies and much opposition) in the 17th century.  Suppressed in the general secularization of 1835.
