Monasticon Praemonstratense (III, 321)
Approximate modern location: East of the city of Porto, east of the village of Gandra, west of the village of Astromil, Portugal, in a place which is now referred to as "Passais", on a mountain not far from the village of Vandoma, Douro, Portugal.
Elm-Number [See below]: None.*
Other Comments: It is almost certain that our Order has never had a house at this location, and that in fact - what was referred to as a monastic house, was in fact a parish (also unaffiliated with our Order. In fact, there are foundation remains on this site which clearly indicate that it is a size and configuration of a Parish, not a monastery.
